I've been reading about Brazilian waxing, and the thought of somebody going into very private areas to do the job terrifies me. Let alone a trip to the gyneacologist is as embarrassing!
I wanna hear how the women deal with it?For the women who do brazilian waxing, isn't it as uncomfortable as a trip to the gyneacologist?
It's really not a big deal to me, but this is why one of my friends won't get it done. Yes, when you get a brazilian, you're privates aren't so private anymore, but you should be in a private room getting it done and the esthetician has done plenty besides you. Like I said, for me, it's not a big deal at all...a bit awkward at times especially when I'm on all fours with my *** up in the air, but hey, no biggie. I just talk the entire time and it makes it a lot less uncomfortable and the time go faster. And really, you shouldn't be embarassed - remember, just as with a gynecologist, the esthetician has probably seen it all and nothing will phase her.For the women who do brazilian waxing, isn't it as uncomfortable as a trip to the gyneacologist?
i dont mind it and i dont mind a trip to the gyno either! why be embarrassed? its their job. they deal with it hundreds and thousands of times. hey what you gotta do you gotta do. you know?
the trick is you have to convince yourself that its NOT embarassing! a lot of people do it not to mention brazillian waxers do it for a career as do gynocologists they see hundreds of women a week! its just a shyness issue and the more you do it the less shy you will be about it. mind over matter!
so do the men
Been there, done that. It's a little awkward. But not nearly as much as the trip to the Gyno...haha, at least they arent probing every inch of you! All they want to do is spread on some wax, and get it off, and get paid.
They tlak the whole time, they dont touch you inappropriatly, and like the other poster said, it's their job to do that, so they've probably seen it all.
I do Brazilian waxes on clients quite a bit so I have been on both sides of the table. The best way to think of it is the way that we think of it, as a technical procedure done by a professional. We talk about random things just like you would when you get your hair cut. I cover my clients with a towel in areas that I'm not working on at the time to give them a little bit more of a ';discreet'; feeling. Try your best to relax, estheticians hate making people feel uncomfortable. Bring your i-Pod or a CD to put in our spa CD player, whatever makes you feel more at ease.
why would it be embarassing? It's not pleasant, but it's definitely not weird after the first time- it's just like any other procedure. Plus, the benefits outweigh the costs
Ive had the bikini area waxed but not full brazilian. even with brazilian wax the hair grows back and I wouldnt want to go there. totally not the same as a gyn visit though..not even.
Id rather get the wax.
