I paid 拢20 in a nice (Aveda) salon in a town centre. You can probably go to independent ones and pay between 拢10 and 拢20.
Check if they appear clean, if the therapist washes their hands, has clean towels available, change the paper sheet on which you lie on, use fresh wax applicator sticks, etc. I have heard that some people have caught infections (obviously it is a big pot of wax that has been ';double dipped'; for previous sessions) but you take that risk. What I find most problematic are in-growing hairs that can get infected or blocked.
If it is hygeine you are worried about, why not find a beautician that comes to your home and provide your own pot of wax and applicators and strips etc?How much does a brazilian wax cost from a spa ?

the risks are... Hmm..
well, its gunna hurt like hell.. and it might be a little irritated and red for a few hrs. but other than that....i dont think there any risks..
