How soon after a brazilian wax, can I have sex?

I'm getting a Brazilian wax a day before my boyfriend's birthday. How soon after a full wax, can I have sex?How soon after a brazilian wax, can I have sex?
I'd say it would depend on your skin's sensitivity. If you're up to it and it doesn't hurt, then go to town hun.

You have more guts than I do, I've never had a bikini wax, let alone a Brazilian. I hope he appreciates it. XD

I know there's this stuff called Bikini Zone. It's a topical lidocane ointment that can help soothe your skin. It'll hurt like a you-know-what when you put it on, but if you're irritated it'll feel so very much better. It shouldn't interfere with oral sex, if you choose to use it.

Just see how you feel afterwards. Good luck, and have fun!How soon after a brazilian wax, can I have sex?
90 minutes
Right after really. But after sex you will prob be red/irritated, but it goes away in a day.
like around 2 hours. i think that long. maybe a little earlier

=D
24-48 hours
I'm pretty sure once its over..it shouldnt hurt that much long after its done.

What is the best time of home kit for a brazilian wax at home?

I have heard of hot wax, sugaring, hard wax, etc.

What is the best type for very coarse, stubborn hair 'down there'? What brand name brazilian kit could I buy online or in a drugstore here in Canada? What is the best time of home kit for a brazilian wax at home?
There are several choices available. I find Gigi Brazilian Hard Wax to work the best for 'down there.' Its available online at Amazon.com, and Sally's stores. A hard wax does not require strips for removal, and its less painful to use on sensitive skin. But no matter which wax you choose, make sure that you know what you are doing before attempting a DIY Brazilian waxing. If you've never had it done before, I would highly recommend that you have it done professionally a few times first so that you can watch, and learn from them doing it. Don't be afraid to ask questions while having it done. True, its not like 'rocket science,' or anything like that to wax yourself, but there is a right way, and a wrong way of doing it. Do it the right way and you're fine. But, do it the wrong way, and you could end up in a lot of pain from bruising, or from having several layers of skin removed along with the wax. Ouch! Been there, done that.

I hope this helps!

Do Brazilian waxes hurt? How long does the irritation last after that?

I have been thinking of getting a brazilian wax but I'm scared. I am just so tired of shaving. Thanks for any advice on this.Do Brazilian waxes hurt? How long does the irritation last after that?
I've been getting them for years and it's like ripping a band-aid off. There is one spot that's sensitive, in the puffy, fattiest part of your lips, just before your vagina. But it only hurts for a second and no more. I don't have any irritation or ingrown hairs, but I loofah the skin down there (to exfoliate-prevention of ingrown hairs) every shower. The great thing about waxing is the more/longer you do it, the less you have to do it, and the hairs grow in soft, not stubbly. I wax anything that used to need a razor or tweasers and am a convert!!! Will do it for the rest of my life....1 hour....I'm hairless!!!! :)Do Brazilian waxes hurt? How long does the irritation last after that?
Yes, they are very painful but well worth it. It depends on your skin but the irritation only lasted a few hours for me.
Hi,

Brazilian wax do hurt a bit. And the irritation may last from 12 to 24 hours, dry skin also has been associated with Brazilian wax. I recommend that you treat your skin with moisturizers and anti-itch creams everyday for 14 days. Good Luck!
yeah they hurt...what is your pain tolerance level?
well actually, yes verrrrrry much for the first time but i have been getting regular wax since i was like 9 years old.

After a while u get used to it, but at the end it is all worth it.
Hi, I was scared too and had no idea what to expect. Just be ready to flexible in that area. If the person knows what there doing you'll do fine. It's a quick pain and do expect tenderness after. I've heard not to go a week before or after your menstrual cycle. There is an after tone you apply to prevent ingrown hair and stubs. Good luck, the results are well worth your time and money.
It hurts sooooooo bad!

have you ever waxed your eyebrows? It's worse, but you kind of get used to it.

It's much better than shaving, just painful
Of course they hurt.... i mean hello it hurts when you wax your eye brows right? But if you have thin / non course hair ... it is a lot easier on you and on the esthetician. I think it hurts more when they do it above the pubic bone.

Also don't go in like a week before your period because your sensitive.

If done right the irritation only last for that day... I get this done every month so i'm getting used to the pain but i'm not going to lie it still hurts and i have thin hair.... but just try it at least twice to see if its for you....
yes, because your skin around that area is so soft and sensitive it does hurt. the irritation lasts avout 2-3hrs
I find that sugaring the Brazillian area causes less irritation to my skin because it does not stick to the skin like the wax does. Wax does contain chemicals that sugar does not. Sugar is natural and far more gentle on the skin. Also, the sugar is a lot easier to clean up because it can be removed with warm water. So, if you're looking for a way to remove the hair with less irritation I would suggest trying sugaring.
Depends on your pain tolerance. I do fine, but some people make them stop or cry because it hurts so bad. If you have a good waxer, don't worry about it. The irritation doesn't last more than a day or so.

A few questions about Brazilian waxing?

At what age do girls usually start getting Brazilian waxes?

How much do they usually cost?

Where can you go to get one, or must you do it yourself?

Is there any downside to getting one?

And of course, how badly did it hurt? (Gulp.)A few questions about Brazilian waxing?
I got my first Brazilian last year and I was 22! It's a personal decision and there's no right ';age'; to get one...

Expect to pay $50-$90 dollars, depending on where you go. My place charges 50 + 15% tip.

Go to a salon...if they do bikini waxes, chances are they do Brazilians too. Just make sure that wherever you go is CLEAN, and professional! You don't want to wax your privates at a place that re-uses application sticks and towels! EW!

Itching and bumps while the hair is growing back is the biggest downside. If your pubic hair is very coarse/curly you run the risk of ingrowns and bumps. To avoid this, vigorously exfoliate the area with a loofa or exfoliating glove. Do this every day starting two or three days after the wax. Applying Tend Skin to the area greatly reduces the risk of bumps and keeps your skin smooth and soft. As your waxer about it.

If you've never had a Brazilian before, the first time will HURT! But that will be the worst of it. Every wax after that becomes less and less painful! Good luck!A few questions about Brazilian waxing?
You probably have to be 18, since they're going to be looking at and touching your most personal area, though you can probably get it done younger if you're accompanied by a parent. You can't do it properly yourself, you just can't get at the right angle to get it completely clean. Most spas have waxing services that do brazilians. Just google spas waxing and put your location and they will give you a list of places that do it, as well as the prices. The salons around here charge $70 for a brazilian. Only downsides I can think of is that it's embarassing to have a stranger touching and looking at you down there. There is the risk of getting ingrown hairs, but you also risk that with shaving. You can also exfoliate the area to prevent ingrown hairs. It also hurts like hell the first time. But, there are ways to minimize the pain. You can buy numbing sprays from wal mart, take tylenol (not aspirin or any blood thinners!) and just grit your teeth and bare it. You'll love the results, and it's worth the pain. Plus, the more you do it, the less it hurts each time.
1. When they are growing hair down there AND can afford the $75 it costs.

2. Between $60 and $100

3. Some Spas and Massage Parlors

4. When it grows back in, it can get pretty itchy. And you have to let the hair grow out for a while before you can get it waxed because the wax can't grab short hairs.

5. It doesn't hurt as bad as you would think, from what I hear. If you're fond of being hairless, it would be worth it. You'll be literally hair-free (no stubble even) down there for usually around 2 weeks.
They aren't cheap. about $180. If I were you I'd shave. I've been ';grooming'; since I turned 13. Every other day take care of it. It only takes 8 minutes. Who can't spare 8 minutes?

  • What is your experiance with a Brazilian Wax?

Is it really that painful? Do they do the hair around the openings and anus? Do you recommend them? What is your experiance with a Brazilian Wax?
Yes the waxing process is very painful, expically if you have never had one before. Also they can cause severe ingrown hairs, expically if you have sensitive skin. It can cause a rash as a side effect of the actual wax itself. Although it is concertered very ';in fashion'; it has many more side effects than anticipated. For me anyway after the waxing the areas that the root was in bleed for days and made it impossibly for me to where the white bikini that was the reason behind the waxing. And also yes they do wax around the anus and every other sensitive area below your belt.

    between $60-100
    around 拢20 - 拢30

they are the same, you just gotta tell the wax lady if you want any hair to not be removed, and specify where and if you want to leave a design.

i usually pay around $80 for the brazilian, and i get everything removed!!

if you want the hair permanently removed you may want to try hair removal. after the first session i noticed that in some areas the hair did not grow back at all!! try it if you would like, its gonna cost ya a pretty penny, but its painless and the results last forever. because each persons' skin type is different you may have to get multiple treatments for all thair to be gone. on average you need 5 to 6 treatments.

The wax isn't going to tear your scar open.

It is normal for you to feel numb around the area of the incision, they say nerves grow at 1mm a month, so it will take a while for the feeling to come back, if it all.

I am 10 weeks post partum, and my tummy still feels 'funny' where there is decreased sensitivity.

I would say it's safe to get it now as long as you scar is fully healed without any infections I don't see what the harm would be!

Is it considered gay to have a full brazilian (hollywood) waxing treatment?

how about anal and buttocks waxing, anal bleaching? thxIs it considered gay to have a full brazilian (hollywood) waxing treatment?
The amount of hair you have or don't have on any part of your body or the amount you remove or don't remove from any part of your body is no reflection of your sexuality or gender identification.

The only thing which would indicate that you are gay would be if you were attracted to and formed sexual relationships with members of your own gender.

If you want to get any part of yourself waxed because you prefer the look and feel of it, then just go for it.Is it considered gay to have a full brazilian (hollywood) waxing treatment?
Well, I odn't see how it can be gay unless you really are gay, because thats the onlky time, gay sex time I mean, that any other man is gonna see all that.
    why should it
No, it's not gay, but rest assured that if I ever had it done, there WAS a gun to my head. Jesus Christ, those waxings should be deemed as cruel and unusual punishment.
Not gay, just a sign that the person is body-obsessed very, very high maintainance and probably insecure and needly. Flashing red lights for a relationship.
Of course its not there are all kinds of reasons for a man to get a full body wax other than his sexuality; Health, medical to name a few

Is it appropriate to do nude yoga if you got a bare brazilian wax recently?

I saw an all nude womans yoga class advertised in town. I'm fairly comfortable in my own skin so I thought I'd try it out. I heard it's a liberating way of connecting your mind %26amp; body. However I just got an all bare brazilian wax and I'm afraid I may be overly exposed while doing the stretches which everyone else may frown on. I'm not sure if I should just go or call and somehow try to ask them. I just don't know exactly what to ask.Is it appropriate to do nude yoga if you got a bare brazilian wax recently?
People wax, people don't wax, just as people shave their legs and others don't.

If you're comfortable in your own skin then why not go for it? If the other women there don't wax well that's not for them, just as waxing is for you. I don't think it really matters what people see when you stretch, everyone's nude anyway. They're gonna see something if they look.Is it appropriate to do nude yoga if you got a bare brazilian wax recently?
Haha. This is a great question!

I agree: you should just call and ask. Say you're feeling a little uncomfortable if EVERYTHING is going to be all out. It does depend on the yoga pose if you'd be.. out there. haha. Just call. Besides, it won't matter because how are they going to tell if it was actually you on the phone?

I think that does sound like a really cool way to do yoga because yoga is already very liberating without being nude. Don't let this slow you down!
i would say its better with the wax than without.

Any advice on getting a brazilian wax for the first time? How bad does it hurt?

is it true that it should be done after your period?Any advice on getting a brazilian wax for the first time? How bad does it hurt?
This is not me, this is someone else's answer to the same question.

So, there are soo many knotties who ask me about this..so I decided to make a post. If you are in need of a brazilian wax (Especially first timers) I am a licensed Esthetican at The Ritz Carlton Central Park South. I have a billion brides who come to me. If you have any questions or need some help...page me or make an appt at the La Prairie Spa.

    My biggest advice:

    1) Do not come intoxicated or high. It actually makes you more sentive.

    2) Anti-imflammatories work for the swelling and redness after. It does

    help slightly with pain.

3)You can ask your doctor for a prescription of LMX 4% Lidocaine creme

that you can apply 30 minute before. This will numb the sensory

nerves to dull pain. It does not take the pain away completely.

4)You should have about 4 wks of growth before you wax. Enough that

you can easily pick up the hair with your finger.

It will last about 2 wks..by the beginning of the 3rd week...you will see

growth begin. by the 4th wk...it's time to come back. Hair growth is

hormonal..and each follicle is at it's own timetable. some grow faster.

But if you remain on a schedule of every 4 wks....the hairs do not have

time to streghten via bloodflow...and it will hurt significantly less each

    time.

5)You cannot shave before. I cannot tell you haw many ladies have done

    this.

    6) Hives or bumps are normal and usually subside in an hour or so. If

they last more than 2 days....you may have allergies to the ingredients

in the wax or latex/rubber (gloves that we use) See a doctor if anything

    supicious occurs

    7) Gold/amber wax is the cheapest wac out there. This usually causes the most problems. Makes sure they are using this wax at the right temperature. Most cases, it gets too hot too fast and causes burns, scarring, and peeling.

    8) PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR WAXER USES GLOVES. I will not name

the very popular spa that is notorious for brazils, in which you cannot

find a glove in the house. It is against the law...and there is no telling

what pathogens are being trasmitted. Waxing does produce contact

with your blood. Do you want someone who may or may not have cuts

on thier hands, fingers, cuticles to be in contact with you? Or with

    anyone else before you?

    9) WATCH OUT FOR DD. This is what I call double dippers. This means

that everytime the stick is inserted into the wax and applied to your

skin..that stick should be thrown away. Wax is hot but not hot enough

to kill bacteria. Herpes, Moluscum C. and other diseases can be

    trasmitted.

Last but not least.....SPEAK UP. If something is happening and you don't like it. Tell them. I would rather know what you prefer than you hoping I can read your mind. It never works:)Any advice on getting a brazilian wax for the first time? How bad does it hurt?
I think that it would be better after. Also i hear it hurts like hell! Especially the first time you get waxed it hurts the worst, after youve been getting waxed for a year or so then it doesnt hurt as bad.
I find sugaring to be just as effective and far less painful than waxing. You can use a product like Moom or even make your own sugar wax at home. There are recipes online you can use easily for little cost.

Just look at that first response, if it is going to be that painful and that much work, is it worth it? Sugaring rips the hair out just like the wax does but is far easier on the skin and so doesn't hurt as much. It's also a lot easier to clean from your skin and the hair takes just as long to grow back. Also, the sugar mixture does not need to be heated as hot as wax and not at all if you are using it in small areas like on the face. You can probably get away with not heating it for the bikini area, as well, since it is better to do relatively small patches at a time.

Everybody is different, but I can tell you that waxing leaves me in pain for days and those obnoxious red spots stay inflamed and clearly visible. With sugaring, the little red spots are gone the same day and I have no lasting pain at all.

My advice on a first time Brazilian wax - skip it and go for the sugar. It will be a lot kinder to your bikini area.

As for when, some ladies are more sensitive just before or during their period. If you are, then wait until after. If you're not then it doesn't matter if you wait or not.

    Find Moom here:

    http://www.drugstore.com/search/search.a鈥?/a>

Can you get herpes or any other STDs from brazilian waxing? ?

Just went to a new spa today to get a brazilian wax done. I realized a little too late.. that they double dip... what are the chances of contracting an STD? Herpes? So worried...Can you get herpes or any other STDs from brazilian waxing? ?
I can't seem to find a truly authoritative answer on this.

I can find many MDs who have responded in herpes forums that the risk of herpes or STDs in this situation is incredibly remote - but I can't find any institutional source (like the CDC or herpes charities) that addresses this particular scenario. I'll be very interested to see if anyone else posts a link to a better source than a doctors advice column.

My suspicion is that the chance is unbelievably small. The herpes virus dies very quickly outside the human body. Your spa technician would literally need to be waxing two people at once AND the other person would need to have an active herpes outbreak for this to even be possible.

I suspect you are much more likely to get some non-STD bacterial infection or rash, if anything.

I would either ask the spa technician to be more careful, or I would choose another spa. I would also keep my eyes out for odd rashes - but I would not worry about STDs or herpes.

Good question. Can you get herpes or any other STDs from brazilian waxing? ?
I don't think so. But if you are experiencing bumps it is probably irritation from the waxing. Although, if you've waxed before and they seem unusual it doesn't necessarily mean you got herpes from the waxing, you can contract it from people who show no symptoms and 90% of people who have it don't know (that's how I got it). Only you can judge what seems normal to you, but if things seem a little odd I'd go to the doctor just to be sure.
Very low chance of that happening. Unless the waxer touched a cold sore then directly after touched your genitals...but again not too likely for that to happen. Herpes doesn't survive in high temperatures (the wax is probably melted at a high temp), or out side of the body, or on inanimate objects for very long.
ewww. i would sue!!!! thats completely unsanitary. i would call the better business bureau or at least the spa and throw a fit. why didnt you say anything when you first noticed??

good luck on that. i honestly dont know if you could get a disease like that, but to me it seems possible.
U sure can if they are using the same tools with one and other custumers without being sanitized.
i highly doubt it, but I wouldn't ever go back to that spa, and I would report them for being unsanitary..

  • Can someone please explain the process of a Brazilian wax to me?

I know they wax everything with a brazilian but I've never gotten waxed down there before and I'm considering it. The major factor stopping me is pure humility.

Exactly how embarrassing is it? Is there any cover at all for your ******** or is it similar to visiting the gyno? What about the whole landing strip option? I know that leaves a small strip in the front and waxes the sides but what about the actual inbetween the legs area? Can someone please explain the process of a Brazilian wax to me?
Ok...so im not a shy person but I decided to do this myself about 6 months ago and definately was a bit hesitant. Its not bad at all. The give you a litle paper thong..and when i say little, I mean t wouldnt sufficiently cover a 5 year old lol...but you get to keep that on. Its kinda like saying im going to give you this little shard of fabric in hopes you will be able to keep a shard of self respect. Haha, im just kidding. My waxer made me very comfortable and talked the whole time so it wasnt as ackward. The remove every single bit of hair, from the top of your bikini line to the top of your bum crack. It feels great afterwards! As far as pain goes, it various depending on how course your hair is. For instance, a friend of mine did it before me and it was extremely painful for her because she had course curly hair. As for me, I have thin, fine hair and it barely even fazed me. Take about 3 ibuprofen about an hour before you go to help with the pain. Best of luck! Can someone please explain the process of a Brazilian wax to me?
depends on what you define as embarassing. if you wash it and don't have anything weird like bad odor, then there's nothing to be embarassed about, they've seen it all, just think of it this way - they probably do at least 5 or 8 a day! lol

yup, they wax the labia too

The first time you do it , it is PAINFUL. but then after that it's not anymore. Take a pain reliever and check out Sally's beauty Supply for a Lidocaine spray - it numbes the skin pretty well
Where should I start. Let's just say that it's definitely like going to the gyno. I strip your bottoms off and she starts waxing. I guess it all depends on who is going to do it. My wax lady is awesome and I feel very comfortable with her. I highly recommend that you take any type of pain reliever and asprin before a waxing appt. Just relax and think on how nice your area will be after. Good Luck!!

How can they ban the brazilian wax in NJ?

Its a freaking travesty? What do they expect, everyone go natural? Messed up and gross. I think no hair is even better. Maybe they could ban hair down there? How can they ban the brazilian wax in NJ?
They're banning it?You're kidding!Thats messing with personal liberty, they shouldn't be able to do that! But don't worry even if they do ban it people will come up with ways to get it done. We're creative that way :)How can they ban the brazilian wax in NJ?
Protest this ruling! Email Jay.Malanga@lps.state.nj.us, Executive Director, Board of Cosmetology and Hairstyling for New Jersey. Let the board know that if they ban Brazilian waxing, the consumer is going to spend their money elsewhere. I'm sure NYC will be more than happy to take my $$$$.

they most likely banned it due to infection. ive heard this before, like some people even Died in brazil due to an infection from the waxing. but this was when it was only in brazil and im guessing fairly new.

we have higher safety standards for it here, but the area/brazillian waxing can be prone to infection from the waxing.

maybe this is the reason? but i really dont know.

you could always just do it yourself.
Truly? Wow. I had no idea.

When is the best time to have a Brazilian wax How long should my hair be?

I stop shaving since last tuesday I have an appointment tommorrow friday at 12 noon is should that be long enough for a brazilian wax ?When is the best time to have a Brazilian wax How long should my hair be?
Should be enough for the wax to grab. I would say about 1/2 inchWhen is the best time to have a Brazilian wax How long should my hair be?
Every ones hair grows differently but you should be ready buy 6 weeks and if this is your first time then you should not shave for at least 2 weeks before your waxing
    ouch
you need at least a 1/4'; of hair for the wax to grab onto. I definitely wouldn't go if you're pre-menstrual. that's a very bad time to have your hair ripped out b/c your hair follicles and nerve-endings are much more sensitive to pain.
Last Tuesday as in 2 days ago or last tuesday as in 9 days ago? If it was 9 days ago, you probably have enough hair. Is this your first time? Take a couple of Advil (it is a pain reliever and an anti-inflammatory) and make sure it isn't right before your period. Your skin is more sensitive during the 3-4 days before your period. Good luck! You will be addicted once you get over the pain :)
The best length for your hair before waxing is about 1/4 inch. That's long enough for the wax to grab it, but not too long that it all gets in the way. Sounds like yours might be on the short end. Probably some of the really short hair might get missed this time around, and you might see regrowth really soon. Go for another waxing in about 6 weeks, and after that one you'll be spotless.

Also, the worst time to get waxed is right before or during your period, because it tends to hurt a lot more then. Make sure to drink plenty of water today and tomorrow - being well-hydrated helps it hurt less. If you can, take 2 ibuprofen about an hour before your appointment. If your salon sells an anti-bump/in-grown hair application, buy it and use it every morning and night. It'll help a lot, but be prepared to tweeze some in about a week.

    Enjoy!

Brazilian waxing is a type of waxing involving the bikini area. This procedure involves the complete removal of hair from the buttocks and adjacent to the anus, perineum and vulva (labia majora and mons pubis). It can be thought of as an extreme form of bikini waxing. Most forms of Brazilian waxing leave a small line of pubic hair above the vulva, commonly known as the ';landing strip';. Waxes that completely remove the pubic hair are either termed 'Hollywood' or 'Sphynx' depending on the salon visited. Sometimes the term Full Bikini Wax or FBW is used.

  • How long should you stop shaving at home before getting a brazilian wax?

i know that if you are getting your arm pits waxed you must stop shaving for awhile, so how long do you have to wait before you can have a brazilian? How long should you stop shaving at home before getting a brazilian wax?
4-5 weeksHow long should you stop shaving at home before getting a brazilian wax?
Around 2 weeks the longer you wait the better.
Im waiting this out right now i am going to wait 4 weeks, thats what my sister did and it was good to go!
You want to wax your pubes eh? Your hair just has to be atlest half an inch, i wax down there myself, it sucks, but last way longer, if you get interested, don't buy cheap wax kits, they don't work, if you buy some to do it yourself, get nads, its not that expensive, its only 30, but don't get the 10 one's , bad idea, it will make for one hell of an experience.
depends how fast your hair grows...it needs to be around an inch long
They say 2 weeks. But it depends on how fast your hair grows... could be 3 weeks. But average is 2 weeks. I've gone to several places and they all recommend 2.

How much does a Brazilian wax cost?

I wanted to get a Brazilian wax but I wasn't sure of the prices. Does anyone know any cheap places in Baltimore that does waxing? How much does a Brazilian wax cost?
Honestly I wouldn't go to a cheap place to get a Brazilian. That's the one thing you want to spend the money on to go to a reputable place. I've heard horror stories of girls getting burned with too-hot wax, of skin getting ripped off, etc, and it was because they went to a place like a nail salon where they also do waxing in the back. I went to a high end salon that had great reviews for Brazilians and it was $60. Expensive, but worth it.

How long after a brazilian wax before you can tan?

I just had a brazilian wax. How long before I can tan?How long after a brazilian wax before you can tan?
10 secHow long after a brazilian wax before you can tan?
i would wait a day or two...and make sure you put tanning lotion around...the area...so it doesnt get as irritated from the UV rays. o, and moisturize like crazy!
i have gone tanning right after a wax.

it depends on how sensitive your skin is.
id say wait till the day after. 24 hours should be alright unless u have very sensitive skin.

How long does a Brazilian wax usually last?

How long does it last and how long should I let the hair grow back before I get it done again? How long does a Brazilian wax usually last?
Most women should get brazilian waxed ever 2-3 weeks. This way every time it is done, it should not be painful. How long does a Brazilian wax usually last?
It depends on how fast your hair grows and if it's your first wax. If your hair grows quickly, then obviously your wax won't last as long. And if it's your first wax then the results will probably not be as long lasting as waxes down the road.
It lasts a few weeks, if done properly. Allow your hair to grow to at least 2 cm before getting it done again.

What do you think hurts more, a brazilian wax or a tattoo?

Any one have any idea which would hurt the most? What do you think hurts more, a brazilian wax or a tattoo?
I've had both. The tattoo I have is half way up my right calf on the outside. It hurt, but I didn't cry. I don't regret it, and I actually love to show it off.

The brazilian wax, I only did half, then I said no more, and I cried for hours. I would rather give birth to a 10 lb. baby in the rice fields than ever do that again. I used language I've never used before. God put hair there for a reason, if it bothers you so much that your even thinking brazilian, then for Heaven's sake, shave. What do you think hurts more, a brazilian wax or a tattoo?
Its hard to say because I don't have either. When you get a tattoo there are like a hundred little needles going in and out of your skin, where a Brazilian wax removes hair fast and painfully. They both sound like they hurt a lot. A tattoo may be worth the pain, because tattoos are permanent, and a Brazilian wax, the hair grows back and you have to get it done again and then face the pain again.
i have gotten 2 tattoos and just got my first brazilian, tattoo on my ankle hurt more than brazillian cuz the wax is just ripped off and it calms down, and it hurt more than my other tattoo on my hip. so depending on where u get a tattoo i guess haha sorry didnt really help huh..
I would have to say a tat just because it takes longer.

But honestly the pain is very simuliar and this is a really interesting question...cant wait to see what others put
Brazilian wax is just ripping off hair with a strip.

Tattoo is permanent ink from a needle scribbled all over your skin.

    you do the math.

if you've never waxed anywhere before, then i recommend you get cold wax strips and try them on the inner thighs.

its very painful and im sure you will get tearful. why wax? all that so ur bf enjoy the ''clean'' look? why do you have to try so hard? if we were to be cleaner or better without hair down there, we wouldn't have any! like the palms of our hands have no hair but the rest do. a lot.

try not to wax the week before your period because that's when it's the most sensitive down there.

    Question about Brazilian waxing?

How long do you have to let it ';grow'; for before you can get it waxed? And how long does it usually last for?Question about Brazilian waxing?
It should be a little higher than stubble, probably to the point where the hair starts to become soft. Usually mine lasts about 3 - 4 weeks before it starts to really grow back in. You can extend the duration a bit by buying the lotion that suppresses hair growth. There's even new pantyhose that is treated with this lotion .. but I have never tried it. The more you wax, the less hair you'll have too, which is why it's way better than shaving imo.Question about Brazilian waxing?
shorter the better but not stubble. Go over with hair clippers before the wax if it's long. Depending on the person really but should last approximately 4weeks. If you can't handle a little pain go to the chemist and get some numbing cream first.

  • I'm planning on getting a brazilian wax, how do i know if the place is sanitary?

I'm getting my first brazilian wax, i'm planning to talk to a couple places for pricing, but i also was going to talk them about sanitary issues (making sure all utensils/products are clean that they're using on me). I read something in a magazine a while ago, and am kind of concerned. Should i be? Or are places usually pretty sanitary about it?

And also, when i book an appt, how should i address this issue? I don't want to affend anyone.

Thanks!I'm planning on getting a brazilian wax, how do i know if the place is sanitary?
I agree with the last person. High end spas are the way to go. I am sure it is more expensive but when you are dealing with something this important, sanitation is key! So, it would be worth the price! Something that has been established and is known for their good reputation. They maybe even reviews on the spas online if you google it. You can google everything %26amp; anything! You can also tell by looking at the place when you go in. You know dirty from clean so trust your judgement. Also, how the people present themselves, too. If they look dirty, then I would head out! That is so mean but.... Go with the high end spa %26amp; you will not regret it. My friend has the girl from the spa come to her house and do it. She feels more comfortable in her own home so that maybe an option for you. Since this is your first one, I found a great site. I put the link on here so you can check it out.

    http://www.brazilianwaxinfo.com/faqs/

The link is really good. Its got TONS of info. ALmost every ? you have is answered. I was like WOW!! I read it and it has gotten me a little curious about it as I have never had one before but I love the look of the Brazilian wax ! Im 28 with 2 kids and maybe I will get one sometime soon!!..... so enjoy the link ! :-)I'm planning on getting a brazilian wax, how do i know if the place is sanitary?
I think the best places to go are high end spas and salons. The worst places? he nails/tanning/waxing combination one-size-fits-all cheapo salons. They are usually unskilled and unsanitary not to mention often unlicensed as well. Those are the riskiest places to go , IMO. You can ask them about their procedures regarding sanitation and any other concerns you may have. True professional will not have anything to hide, and will answer all of your questions. A place with something to hide wil always avoid these types of questions. Or that has been my experience anyway. Good luck!
Have you heard of the book ';How to Get the Perfect Brazilian Wax';. You can find it on any major online book store like amazon. Its written by a esthetician who specializes in brazilian waxing. She explains everything you would ever need to know about getting one done. Check it out. Its very informative, professional, and honest.

What should I do to prepare for my first Brazilian wax?

This summary is not available. Please click here to view the post.

What can I expect during my brazilian wax?

I've got an appointment to get a brazilian wax at a salon in Manhattan in about a week. Has anyone had this done? Where did you have it done? What can I expect to experience during the procedure? What is a reasonable price for this type of service? Any information would be helpful. What can I expect during my brazilian wax?
Just make sure you shower before appointment! That's the only thing us professional expect. We know its strange to be naked in front of someone with your body in a fashion you never thought possible! You are going to find ways to position your body you never thought possible, seriously! It will hurt a bit. But your waxer will walk you through it. Trust me, she is used to nervous women during this service. The price is between $50-$65. Tip 18% as that is customary in NY. Once you get over the first appointment you will feel much better. Just relax don't tense your body. If you tense it hurts more. And some women ever pass gas during this service, don't feel embarrassed, like i said as a professional we are used to this. What can I expect during my brazilian wax?
baby like skin after the pain wears off
    pain and less hair.
it's very painful and a little awkward and embarassing. i hope u can handle being naked on the bottom half in front of someone, and assisting them with holding bits here and there! LOL. good luck hun :)
you can experience an extreme intense pain all yours for a low price of 25.00 at your nearest salon.

I personally would rather use nair or just shave instead of getting waxed.. ouch! ouch! KELLY CLARKSON!!!!!!!!
    pain
DO NOT SHAVE ANY DOWN THERE A WEEK BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT, OR IT WILL NOT BE AS GOOD AS U LIKE AND A LITTLW MORE PAINFUL.

I think it is the best way to go or if u dont want to do that just shave.

Most waxings occur in a private room with a door. I have heard of some with just a curtain between you and others. You remove your pants %26amp; underwear %26amp; lie on a table with clean paper or sheets.

Because you only need about a quarter-inch of hair for the wax to grab onto, your waxer will start by trimming your pubic hair.

The best waxers are fast, which means less discomfort for you. The waxer will dip a waxing stick into a pot of hot wax %26amp; then spread it onto your skin %26amp; hair. She will then apply a cloth strip over the still-warm wax, pressing firmly so the cloth, hair and wax adhere to one another. When the wax has cooled, she will pull the strip off, in the opposite direction of your hair growth, pulling the hairs out by the root.

Most likely, your waxer will tweeze any stray hairs.

Waxing usually starts in the front %26amp; moves toward the back. You'll likely have to move around in all sorts of odd positions in order for the waxer to do her job.

Once the waxing is over, the waxer will spread soothing lotion over the waxed areas. You should ask what to do in case redness or bumps develop. Your waxer should be trained in this.

Don't forget to get the name of the waxer so when you make another appointment you can get the same person.

    Tips:

The procedure, like any waxing, can be very painful at first, but frequent visits usually cuts down on the pain factor. As for the embarrassing factor -- we like to think getting a Brazilian can't be any more embarrassing than a typical visit to your gynecologist's office. These aestheticians have seen it all before.

The down side of a Brazilian wax... while it lasts as much as 3-4 weeks or it depends on how fast your hair grow back you will have wait the hair will grow back %26amp; you'll have to do it again.

Another down side... hair has to be a certain length before it can sucessfully waxed.

Another down side... you might experience red bumps or

    ingrown hairs.
It hurts like hell, but babe! Once it's done you will LOVE it!!!
it hurts like you wouldent belive, then you go numb and it only hurts like hell. :) have fun

What is the typical procedure followed (from start to finish) for a brazilian wax?

I plan on going for my first sometime in the near future. Any tips or advice? Am I fully exposed for the whole session? What is the typical procedure followed (from start to finish) for a brazilian wax?
First of all, don't trim your hair before going in. The waxer will have a preferred length to work with and will trim for you if it's too long. If it's too short, the wax won't hold properly and might not be able to pull the hairs out.

Also, make sure you bathe before going in. You'll feel more comfortable knowing you're nice and clean.

When you get there, your waxer will take you to a private room. She'll give you a few minutes to get undressed from the waist down and a towel to drape over your lap while sitting on the waxing table.

When she comes back, she'll have you lay on your back and will ask you how you want it. Be sure to know if you want to be bare or have a landing strip or whatever. From there she'll start applying and pulling the wax. A good waxer will be quick and thorough. Afterwards, she'll clean you off with a soothing oil or gel.

Be sure too to wear older underpants. The oil and wax residue can cause staining. Also there is sometimes a little bleeding where courser or deeper rooted hairs were removed.

Oh and make sure your trousers aren't too tight that day. Your skin will feel a bit tender. What is the typical procedure followed (from start to finish) for a brazilian wax?
The Brazilian waxing process begins with baby powder or talcum powder being applied to the area where the hair is to be removed. The wax is heated to an appropriate temperature and spread over the hair to be stripped off. The baby powder prevents the wax to stick to the sensitive skin. The wax is allowed to harden for a few seconds at which point a strip of fabric is placed onto the area covered in wax, and then quickly ripped off in the direction of hair growth. If done quickly and forcefully, the strip should remove all of the hair with minimal pain. Subsequently, the same process is used to remove all the hair in the groin area and between the buttocks. After treatment, the technician may use tweezers to remove some stray hairs that the wax left behind. Results usually last up to 1 to 2 months.

The hair has to be at least 1/2 inch. You're fully exposed you have to let you legs relax and allow the individual to be able to do a proper job. I usually bleed quite a bit because the hair is thicker, I haven't gone for awhile the last time I went the lady kept going over the same area over and over again trying to get stray hairs, needless to say I was raw and sore. Do your research make sure you go to a reputable place and that the person has experience in doing Brazilian waxes
They will have you undress from the waiste down, sometimes for bikini wax they will have you wear disposable underwear for more comfort, but not necessary for brazilian.

Generally, they will do one side at a time, keeping the other side comfortable. If you go to someone experienced it can be done very quickly and very tastefully. It doesn't have to be an uncomfortable situation. Just remember the person performing it is a professional and has done many of them. Try to relax, and don't forget to breathe! It will be over before you know it, and you will be so glad you did it!
When I had it done the lady was very professional %26amp; tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible. She came into the room and asked me to undress from the waist down and about 5mins later she came back in. The only time I was exposed was when she was applying or removing the wax/strip. Afterwards, she applied a cooling creme to help with the redness and the stinging afterwards. I think hair should be about 1/4 inch long

And how long does a brazilian usually last for?Where can you get a brazilian wax in harford county maryland for an affordable price?
google itWhere can you get a brazilian wax in harford county maryland for an affordable price?
hey!! it sounds like this is your first time...it's as simple as this, just tell the lady what you want taken off, even if its everything she can still wax off all the hair down there!! that includes your whole front, between the legs, around your butt crack and your butt cheeks. some people dont automatically wax the butt cheeks so you may have to ask to get that done as well. just make sure you tell her what you do and dont want taken off.

i have been waxing most of my body, including the butt and brazilian, and have noticed that the hairs come back shorter, finer, more sparse, and take longer to grow out with each waxing session...these waxings i have been doing for a little over a year and have noticed a SIGNIFICANT difference!!! =)

whenever I get all those areas waxed it the bill comes out a little over $100 plus tip....keep in mind i am a guy which explains the higher price. i live in Odenton, Maryland so I am not sure about the price in your area. you may wanna check out phone books for that. the place I actually go to though is Mt.Washington Day Spa. I can't remember there number off the top of my head but you can find it online. When you call ask to have the waxing done by Gina. she is the lady that does me and she is GREAT, probably the best in the world :)tell her Jason sent you.

regarding the pain, it hurts at first, but not as much with each additional waxing session. the pain level for your first time will probably be an 8...next time a 6, than 4, maybe 2, and just 1 to none from then on. just make sure you go to a professional and they will have creams. its much better to wax though since the results are long term and your skin will be baby soft/smooth for a long time =)

while getting waxed you may be asked to moved your legs in a few different directions to help with better access down there. you will be laying down the whole time, except when doing the butt and butt crack of course. all you really need to do is just relax, talk to the lady to help the time go by faster and try to not think about the actual wax session. dont feel embarrased when you are spreading/opening up wide down there, the waxing lady does this everyday to men and women so you are not the only one :)

after waxing a few times some hairs will stop growing back, however, for permanent results you may wanna try laser hair removal. after the first session i noticed that in some areas the hair did not grow back at all!! try it if you would like, its gonna cost ya a pretty penny, but its painless and the results last forever. because each persons' skin type is different you may have to get multiple treatments for all thair to be gone. on average you need 5 to 6 treatments.

Whats the best way to care for a Brazilian wax?

They always try and sell you all kinds of crap like stuff to help make sure you dont get ingrown hairs but is there really anything that can keep you from getting ingrown hairs?Whats the best way to care for a Brazilian wax?
grapeseed oil and camphor. you can get grapeseed oil at a healthfood store and camphor oil too...just put a few drops of the camphor in the grapeseed oil. it's important to keep moisturized with a noncomedogenic moisturizer to avoid bumps rashes and ingrown hairs. the exfoliating is good, just be sure you are using something really mild on that sensitive area! the other thing is not wearing tight clothing as it tends to irritate the skin and ingrown hairs often happen where clothing is rubbing. wearing undies that don't have tight elastic is good...v.s. makes good ones that are lace down thar and aren't tight or abrasive to the freshly de-haired area. enjoy that wax job.Whats the best way to care for a Brazilian wax?

Two words: numbing spray!! Go to your nearest Sally's Beauty Supply and pick some up. Some drug stores sell it, but I'd stick with the more ';professional'; brand. The directions say to put it on a few minutes before you get the wax, but I apply it at least 30 minutes in advance. It's amazing.
take some advil, and use aloe vera lotion it really cools everything down :P this is what I always do we I go for mine.. or if the pain is really bothering you, when you get home ice it or sit in the tub with cool/cold water. hopes this help.

How can I minimize the pain of a brazilian wax?

to lower sensitivity, and take a warm cloth and press it over the area for a minute or two before you wax to open your pores. hope this helps a bit :)How can I minimize the pain of a brazilian wax?
The pain will lessen each time. It hurt like hell the first time I did mine, now it is just part of a process. Ib's will help, but time is the best help. Just don't stop now.
I'm pretty sure that's always going to be painful - you are ripping out hair in your most senstive spots!

For home waxing. Surgi-Wax is the best on the market. You don't have to use muslin with it. But I still recommend that you do. CVS, WalMart, and Ulta all stock it. They have several types, for face, legs and one just for Brazillian waxing.

Ouch! Make sure you take some Motrin or something BEFORE you go in for your wax. It should last about a month, but you will have some re-growth before then. How long does a brazilian wax last?
it depends on how they do it and how good they are at it normally it lasts for about 2 weeks but sometimes it can last for about a month! make sure they are good at it! not 2 scare u or anything but it hearts like h*ll!

    good luck
I think 3-4 weeks at least before you start to notice some growing back. All depends on how fast your hair grows.
The Lenght varies with each person metabolism and also how good at the technique was the person that did it. you'll have to try it and make sure to put on a calendar when you had it done and when you see that hair back. I know because I have been trying to figure out how long my leg waxing last, but I keep forgetting to keep track on those details I mentioned above.
    about 2 weeks

Bikini takes the least hair (just around the bikini line), Brazilian takes the most (everything). French leaves some on the buttocks and the labia.

    It literally feels like your labia is being pulled off. You'll feel inclined to ask the waxer, ';Is a part of my vagina on that strip?';

A bikini wax just waxes the sides of your pubic hair so what when you wear a bikini, there's no visible hair.

A brazilian wax gets rid of absolutely every pubic hair you have, even the ones around your butt. Unless you're a porn star or you have a boyfriend who prefers you bald, a bikini wax is a lot less painful and requires a lot less ******** showing.

What I would like to know from somebody who has had a Brazilian or performs them, what sorts of ';compromising positions'; will I be in and for how long? Thanks. What should I expect during a Brazilian wax appointment?
Depending on the technician performing the waxing, your positions are usually somewhat like a gynecological exam. You usually lie on your back with your legs spread apart. I'm assuming you'll have an anal waxing as well which requires that you are on your hands and knees.

These procedures aren't for folks who are extremely modest but a good technician will put you at ease. Just relax and remember that it'll go by faster if you just grin and bear it! (no pun intended!)

I wouldn't go as far as saying it's ritualistic or fetishist but I do like being smooth and I'm a little bit hooked on the smooth look and feel.

Curiously, no one (friends, extended family, colleagues, strangers) has ever said a word about my arms and legs being smooth even though when I started getting waxed I was rather self conscious about it. This seems to imply that guys like you and me who are into hairlessness are in the great minority and most people don't even notice and if they do, they don't care.

Can you catch any diseases by having a brazilian wax done? How sanitary is that?

No I wouldn't imagine something would be passed on. Besides the wax is warm so it would inhibit some growth of bacteria. But yeah I'm sure there are some cases of people getting sick. But I doubt its anything like hepatitis. Can you catch any diseases by having a brazilian wax done? How sanitary is that?
There isn't a problem with the waxing, but if you have a low immune system the tiny breaks in your skin can become infected. A couple hundred women are hospitalised each year (in this country). So if you are healthy, there is no problem.

What is the best way to do a Brazilian wax without going to a spa?

I want to get a Brazilian wax sooo bad but I don't want to go to spa to pay so much money. Is there a better way without having the itching from shaving. What is the best way to do a Brazilian wax without going to a spa?
There is a product called Micro Tweeze I believe it to be the best wax product of all time, it is simple, clean and inexpensive. Do not use a depilatory as that region is sensitive and likely to result in chemical burns that are far from sexy. What is the best way to do a Brazilian wax without going to a spa?
Nope-you have to go to a spa if you really want one (although I don't know why you would want one).
Get the wax and make sure that you do not make it too hot. I would use baby powder first to make the wax only stick to the hair, not your skin. (Just a light dusting) then make sure that you hold the skin tight and get to it. Might want a good stiff drink before (if you are over 21 of course) Be careful with a lotion hair remover like Nair. It works great, but make sure it stays external. It could burn delicate skin.
you can clip to shorten the hair, then you can use a topical ointment from the drugstore to numb your skin. Also take a tylenol or two to also dull the pain. Then proceed to wax as usual.

    Spells it all out.

    Good Luck!
    I use SurgiWax
do it yourself or get your man to do it for you.....just go to walmart and buy the waxing kit which is not even 10 dollars..all u do is spread the wax on and use the sticky strips to pull out the hair..it will sting for a minute then go away. then it will look Beautiful. but youll have to try it 3-5 times to get used to it.
    try depilitory cream
just use duct tape. wax is a scam. the trick to hair removal is to do it fast so you dno't damage the deep roots. just cut the hair short if it's not short already, put the tape along the bikini line, work it in good, then pull it off fast and hard. doing it fast hurts a lot less because you pull the hair out of the root instead of pulling the root out of the skin.
email me and i will do it for you, for FREE
go to Brazil and ask someone to do the wax.
Nair is the only thing I can think of.
