What is it like to get a brazilian wax?

I've thought about getting it done for a while but it just seems so humiliating. Anyone get it done and if so, what was it like? What is it like to get a brazilian wax?
going thru hell for the first time... but once you are used to it, you might be addicted .....it's not as painful as going thru natural childbirth.--%26gt;%26gt; final 9th level of pain.

Lest your overgrown ?? will not be unsightly.

Check out with your friends where are the reputable salons/ spa %26amp; hygenic places you can go to.

Get a waxer who's experienced, friendly, sensitive to know where you are in PAIN !! the type of hot wax used is mositurising. Some places might use hot wax on the skin then place a piece of paper on the hot wax then ripp it of... it's unhygenic.

The spa that i go to uses hot wax on the skin, cool it down in 3 sec %26amp; she rips the wax off in the opp direction of the hair growth. It's less painful if your hair is really short.

Note that if the ripping direction is done wrongly, you'll get ingrown hair .. not sure for life %26amp; ugly looking bumps. Good waxers do not repeat the same area twice %26amp; no tweezer is needed.

Use a lotion or gel for aftercare %26amp; also exfoliate a day or 2 before %26amp; 2-3 days after your waxing. These will prevent you from scratching like a monkey :p

If you are doing it for the first time, you'll be extremly sensitive there after for at lest 2days .... :)

You gotta relax, be natural about showing someone your private area + you got to have trust %26amp; faith in her. IF not, pray before you go. Befor you are being ripped, take a DEEP DEEP breath!

Good luck !!What is it like to get a brazilian wax?
I have it done regularly and its okay.

If I over-think the process I do get a little embarrassed. After all your beautician is spending close-up time in a very personal area. I would suggest that you only go to a highly qualified professional so that you can rely on their expertise and professional approach. Ask for personal recommendations from friends. My beautician is sensitive to my possible embarrassment so she only shifts my panties aside, one side at a time, so I am never left feeling totally exposed and vulnerable. Once done it feels super.

Good luck.
The first time you will be embarrassed but know that the waxer does this every day so it is not a big deal. I would suggest using a topical numbing cream such as ';no scream cream'; to help dull the pain. The first time hurts the most but the hair will grow in thinner and softer making it easier to pull out if you stay on a regular waxing schedule.

Be sure to watch the waxer, double dipping is a big No No...the waxing stick should not be put back in the waxing pot once it touches your skin.
I bet it's more fun for the waxer than the waxee!
Please don't be ashamed of your body. It is yours to do with what you will. We've all got one and they are not so different. If you want to pay for a manicure, that's cool. If you want to pay for a brazillian, that's cool too.
hurts like hell :(
painfull but most places offer a different sort for your first one
Its great.......I wouldnt be without now. I wasnt expecting to have one the first time I did, but im good friends with my beautician and she just wipped it all off, literally! I dont have it any other way now. Go on......give it a go.
yeah...humiliating beyond belief (especially if you're in L.A., where all the waxers apparently think they are better than you), HOT HOT HOT ohmygod you have no idea how hot, then RIIIIIIIIIIIP ow ow ow, then, there you are, naked in front of the waxer who thinks she's better than you and you're writhing and dying. All for who--some jerk? And then, four to six weeks later, the most incredible pain/itching you could possibly imagine as the hair grows back? No thank you. Been there, done that, not at ALL worth it. Thank GOD I'm over that stage.
very very painful, but rather sexy.

had it done for our 10th anniversary. my husband loved it, but dont think i shall do it again!
Don't know but if you ever try it, please share... details, details, details.
