I want to keep my land down under hairless, and I was wondering should I go in for a wax or is shaving sufficient( I have to shave every day ugh) ? I don't have much experience with waxing, about how much should a good Brazilian wax cost and how often do I have to get it done? also are there any tips on finding a good place to go? I don't want to get waxed by an inexperienced waxer esepcally down there, thanks!Brazilian waxing vs Shaving?
Depending where you go, a Brazilian should cost you between about $45-$65, and more in some spas. If you are only paying like $25, then you are in the wrong place! But where you go is up to you. I can only give you a few tips about this, the rest is up to you.
First, you want to be sure that the person doing the waxing is thoroughly trained in Brazilian waxing, has a lot of experience doing them. And make sure they have excellent sanitary practices, and procedures.
One place to avoid is the discount chop shop. These places will often offer nails, tanning, waxing, and whatever else, all under one roof. You find these on almost any street corner. They usually charge you less than what I quoted above, like $25 or so. But, the people doing the waxing in these so-called salons are quite often untrained, unlicensed - or both. And there are many, many reports of women getting infections from an unsanitary practice called , 'Double-Dipping.' This happens when the person doing the waxing uses the wooden spatula (to apply the wax with) over, and over again. This means that they will take the 'applicator,' and use it to apply wax on your private areas. They remove the wax, then use the very same applicator to apply more wax on your private areas. What they are supposed to do - by law, is to use a fresh applicator each time they apply a new layer of wax on you. That means discarding the applicator after each and every use.
I do my own Brazilians, and have been doing them for about 4 years. I used to have it done professionally prior to my doing them myself. I found that the best places to go are highly reputable spas who employ thoroughly trained, skilled, AND licensed esthesticians to do the waxing services. But it is essential that the esthestician has had formal training in Brazilian waxing because most have not had any special training in this type of waxing. Brazilian waxing is far more difficult to perform than any other type of waxing mainly because the hairs down there grow in all different directions. Oh, to answer the last part of your question, how long in between waxings? Well, that depends on how fast your hair grows back, but a Brazilian wax will generally last about 3-5 weeks. But, that depends.
Try it once and you'll never go back to shaving ever again!
Anyway, good luck, and I hope this helped!Brazilian waxing vs Shaving?
Any salons waxer will be trained. A wax is definately the best as it lasts longer and you get less ingrown hairs. You will need to redo evry month or so.
ouch!!!!! ur not kidding right? it hurts 20X more than anything,
i recommend getting laser hair removal from a well-known doctor.. if you estimate how many times ur gonna wax it its gonna cost more than the laser, plus even the laser is cheap(or somewhat not expensive!)
shaving it is gonna make it grow back thicker, fuller and darker, the skin will be dark just like the men shavers, gross.
dont try it! unless u can handle that much pain you can try an alternative .. its a sticky substance, looks like caramel .. i dunno whats it in english but we call it sheera. never use indian sheera.. toooooooooooo painful and burns the skin.
90% of the arab women use it. and the hair comes back the same as its natural way. nothing more.. and if you use it once a month for 2-3 years... hair will stop growing and after every time u do sheera .. ur skin is ALOT smoother
DONT USE THE BRAZILLIAN OR SHAVE IT!
:)
wax is best
